Dear All,
I thank you all for your hard work and the time you spent in planning the activities / transport and hotels for the last two weeks. You and the members of your SHG's involved in this did a tremendous job. Please pass my thanks on to everyone concerned.
Remind yourselves just how well it went and what you achieved in raising the awareness of Stammering everywhere we went.
Reflect that these leadership skills can be used again when you plan for an Indian National conference, or plan to host an Asian National conference. The media will be all over you again.
I have had so many good memories, I will try not to compare. I will say that S-S-Sachin worked me hard at Herbertpur, right up to the end when we discussed the possibilities of a new SHG, with a free meeting room, with the two chief Librarians at the main Dehradun Library. When we left the Library, we raced to the railway station, ate a banana and orange as a late lunch and I boarded the train. As it left the station I could hear Sachin's sigh of relief.
You have all left me with many good ideas; many lovely presents, and I was very proud to help TISA with my English accent and slightly different slant on many things you all know.
It is good to meet in the SHG rooms to practice techniques, if you choose to, but bear in mind sometimes we have to leave the keyboard and meeting room behind to get out into the world and interact. I did so for the last 2 weeks and enjoyed every minute of it. Many of you left your comfort zones to make things happen for me. I think you enjoyed yourselves. I remember three members of TISA addressing a room full of Toastmasters in Chennai! I know Mani enjoyed it. Keep on doing that and build up good memories of tasks well done.
Time for breakfast now,
Once more, thank you, and I will look for ways to raise funds in the ISA so that I can come back again.
Take care,
Keith
