Hello Everyone,
I'm Aditya from Mumbai and am a PWS. I'm doing my MBA and would like to get connected to the Mumbai chapter. My experience is as follows..... I'm stammered as long as I could remember. But my stammering has made me more resolute in becoming a better speaker. I believe stammering is curable. I've always wanted to challenge myself and so used to enrol myself in activities that led me to speak. As a result, I won 2 debate competition my undergraduate college, hosted 3 events and was a anchor for the grand finale of the Annual Festival in my MBA college for an audience of 1,300 (one thousand and three hundred). I can speak before an audience of 1,000 than talk to 1 person across. I'm developing my skills in one-to-one speech too. Stammering has rarely come in my way to be a good speaker, host or debator. It's not that I didn't stammer or wasn't afraid to go on the stage; any non-stammerer would also get nervous before any occasion which makes them to speak to a large audience. But I knew that it was the only way to break through this impasse. I was resolved to be a good speaker. I'm looking forward to meeting all you guys and learn a lot from you. Please let me know if there's a meeting in Mumbai, I'll be very obliged. Thank You!!! Do keep writing. Bye. Ninjaboard - Experienced

Thanks a lot Dr. Sachin,
Those fine words really made my day. I'm aware of the commendable work you're discharging towards stammering awareness in India. I'll definitely be in touch with TISA and it's members. I have the numbers of Venu and Ajit Potdar. Thanks once more. |
