This is reporter Nitin, reporting from Noida suburb of Delhi. Yesterday i.e. 02nd August-2009, five of us Delhi PWS, who reside in Noida, decided to have a local meet. We decided to meet in front of Spice Mall, at 7:00 PM.

Come 7:00 PM, and Anup, Kishore, Nishant and myself were there, but Abhaydeep could not make it. It was very crowded at Spice Mall, so decided to move to a near-by park in Sec. 23.

We dicussed the importance of listening to be a good communicator. We are usually so pre-occupied with our stuttering that we tend to think ahead of what we are going to say next, and do not listen to what the other person is saying. To have a practical demonstartion of it, we had a speaking round. Everybody has to speak for three minutes, on the last movie he has seen, others have to listen to him very carefully and then there was a Q/A round from both sides.

After this the discussion veered towards role of spirituality in stammering and Anup and Nishant shared their experiences. We concluded that being at peace with yourself is really important and it helps a lot in stammering. Different people may have different means for being at peace; for some it may be religion, so some it may be meditation, for some others it may be something different.

With that we concluded the meeting, with a promise of meeting the next week-end.
